The gotcha
12-month commitment limits free cancellation in year one (exceptions like relocation 25+ miles from any Equinox). In May 2025 the NY Attorney General reached a settlement (reported $600,000) requiring Equinox to make cancellation easier; email and online-portal cancellation are now accepted.
